Minnesotans’ Military Appreciation Fund (MMAF) is proud to announce that General Stanley McChrystal, former commander of the Joint Special Operations Command and Director of the Joint Staff, will keynote our next fundraising dinner. A West Point graduate and author of My Share of the Task, McChrystal brings an unparalleled perspective of Middle Eastern affairs. With an expertise in unconventional warfare tactics, McChrystal was appointed to Command U.S. and ISAF forces in Afghanistan. As Commander in Afghanistan, McChrystal increased the number of troops in country and shaped operations as we see it today. Over a career spanning four decades, McChrystal shares unmatched knowledge on military life and the leadership that comes along with it.
This dinner raises money for MMAF, a non-partisan, volunteer-run, non-profit organization with a mission saying “thanks” to Minnesota military service members by providing cash grants to those who have served in a combat zone since September 11, 2001. More than 90 percent of funds raised go directly to Minnesota service members.
